Help Send North Shore Street Soccer Team to Canadian Nationals!

Team Awareness is a co-ed soccer team of homeless, recently homeless, or people who are at risk for homelessness on the North Shore. Team Awareness has been invited to play at the 2015 Canada National Street Soccer Games which is part of the Pan Am Games, being held in Hamilton, Ontario this coming July. In order to do this, additional funding is needed!

Over the past twelve years, NS Homelessness Task Force member, Charles MacGregor, has coached and mentored over 120 local adults. With no set funding, just some help from the local recreation commission and the Salvation Army, he has been helping his players to build skills including: teamwork, communication, confidence, and fitness. Games, practices and shared meals give the players a safe place to put the day to day problems aside for a bit, share stories and problems and support each other.

In order to fund travel expenses for twelve players and to secure their future as a team, they need your support to raise $10,000. With your help, Team Awareness can represent North Vancouver at the Pan Am Games – the first year street soccer has been included!
