Salvation Army & Lookout Society Host Friendly Drop-in Soccer – March 22

Salvation Army and Lookout Society are hosting their twice-monthly street soccer game at 6pm on Saturday, March 22 at the John Braithwaite Community Centre gym.

All homeless and at-risk people are welcome. Food and drink afterward provided by Lookout Society.

North Shore Salvation Army to host Dignity Day on Wednesday, April 9th.

Location: North Shore Salvation Army, 205 W. 12th St. at Lonsdale Ave.

Hot breakfast is at 8:00 am to 9:00 am.
Lunch is served at 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

North Shore Salvation Army Hosting Homelessness Count Hot Lunch Tomorrow

The North Shore Salvation Army is generously hosting a Hot Lunch on March 12th as part of the North Shore Homelessness Count.

Time: 1:00 pm

Location: North Shore Salvation Army, 105 West 12th St., North Vancouver

Volunteers will be in attendance taking surveys for the count.

District of North Vancouver Volunteer Opportunity – Family Court & Youth Justice Committee

Are you passionate about social issues and interested in becoming more actively involved in your community?

The District of North Vancouver is looking for volunteers from the community to join the Family Court and Youth Justice Committee, a tri-municipal committee representing the interests of residents from the District of West Vancouver, the District of North Vancouver, and the City of North Vancouver regarding issues of domestic violence and youth justice.

Meetings are usually held monthly September to November and January to June.

The North Shore Family Court and Youth Justice Committee brings awareness to, and acts as a bridge between, communities and the justice system on behalf of families.
