2 Ways to Get Festive While Supporting the North Shore Lookout Shelter!

As we transition to the holiday season, here are two fun and festive ways to support homelessness on the North Shore while getting into the joy and spirit of the season. Hope to see you there!

  1. Dundarave Festival of Lights – This festive, annual event kicks off this coming weekend and supports the Lookout Emergency Aid Society.  There are free concerts, children’s activities, craft fairs and more. To learn more, or sponsor a tree, please visit the website.

2. Burger & Beer to Support Lookout! Another fundraiser is on Dec. 13th at the Two Lions Public House. North Shore musician, Mike Bertini, will be launching a new single called ‘Joe’ about a homeless man. For more information, visit the event Facebook page and tickets can be purchased online here.

Homelessness Action Week is October 12 – 18, 2014

We are starting our planning now and are looking for volunteers and community sponsors. Please contact us directly for more information and how to get involved.

Last year, in partnership with many North Shore agencies, local businesses, supporters and volunteers we helped over 130 North Shore homeless, and those at risk, access much-needed health and care services, and learn about services available to them at ‘Connect Day’. A special thank you goes out to everyone who supported us last year! For more information about HAW and reports from past years, visit our website page here
